Mr. Simon Wafubwa

Mr. Simon Wafubwa

Managing Director

Simon Wafubwa has been a Board Member from inception. He is a graduate of the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Actuarial Mathematics Option) and finalist of Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Strategic Management at the University of Nairobi. He is a member of the Pensions Management Institute of the UK and currently pursuing the risk management certification examinations. 

Mr. Peter Waiyaki

Director

Peter Waiyaki is a lawyer with the Mboya Wangong’u and Waiyaki advocates. He is a partner at the Commercial and Corporate Practice Group and Company Secretarial Practice group. He is a graduate of the University of Nairobi and the Kenya School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Diploma in Law. Mr. Waiyaki was admitted to the Roll of Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in December 1992.Mr. Waiyaki has broad and extensive experience in providing transactional legal services.

Ms. Sharon Kisire

Sharon Kisire is the former Director of Human Resources and the management of company facilities at leading mobile network operator, Safaricom. Previously, Sharon worked at the Kenya Wildlife Services for 10 years initially as Head of Human Capital and later as Deputy CEO with responsibilities for Human Capital. Sharon has in depth HR experience, specializing in change management and HR strategy formulation.Sharon served as a board chair from 2011 to 2015.

Ms. Elizabeth Kyengo

Elizabeth is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA in Strategic Management. She has over 24 years of experience in the corporate world with global exposure in Audit, Finance & Leadership with PWC and NMG respectively. She is a successful supply chain expert creating value through integrated value chains, embedded on accountability and excellence. Elizabeth has served on several boards in both the private and public sector and chaired on various Risk, Audit and compliance committees. Currently, she is a member of eFarm Corporative Housing and a Director of World Vision.

Mr. Kennedy Monyonycho

Mr. Kennedy Monyonycho

Director

Kennedy Monyoncho has been a Board Member since 2011. He is the current chair of the Research and Training Board Committee. He has over 20 year’s management experience in both the public and private sector in Research, Project Management, Training and Capacity Building. He holds a BSc. Statistics & Economics as well as MBA- Finance from the University of Nairobi. He is currently pursuing PHD studies from the same university. Further, he is a Certified City and Guilds International Trainer.

Mr. Don Odera

Mr. Don Odera

Mr. Odera is a Partner Partner at Crowe Erastus & Co., a member firm of Crowe Global. Don is the Partner responsible for International Liaison and Advisory Services, and is also Head of the Advisory Group of the Africa Cluster of Crowe Global.

He has a Master’s Degree in Management (MMGT), with a focus on Human Resource Management from the University of Southern Queensland. He holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from London-based Middlesex University where he graduated with honours as well as a Masters in Management, Human Resource and Strategic leadership from University of Southern Queensland via the distance learning program of the Australian University.

His vast range of qualifications and memberships that have seen him serve in various financial and accounting positions for over 20 years. These partly comes via the Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (CPA-K) and the Associate of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA).

He has also written numerous professional and technical papers on topical issues around Leadership & Governance, Financial Management, and Mergers & Acquisition for both local and international publications.
